SkillsUSA offers advanced training for students and advisors that focuses on professionalism, communication and leadership skills. This training is held in Washington, D.C., and allows members the opportunity to share their SkillsUSA and career and technical experiences with elected officials.

Fall Leadership Conference October 14-15, 2025

SkillsUSA WV Fall Leadership Conference is designed to afford students the opportunity to gain leadership skills that will allow them to lead their chapter through their program of work over the course of the school year. The Fall Leadership Conference is a great chance to build relationships between students and advisors! We hope to see you there!!

Charleston Leadership Academy February 2-4, 2026

SkillsUSA WV Charleston Leadership Training Academy gives student members an opportunity for leadership training, social activities, and speaking engagements promoting CTE in WV.

State Leadership and Skills Conference March 27-28, 2026

 The SkillsUSA WV Championships will be held on Friday and Saturday. More than 800 outstanding career and technical education students will compete hands-on in 65 different trade, technical and leadership fields. Students work against the clock and each other, proving their expertise in occupations such as electronics, computer-aided drafting, precision machining, medical assisting and culinary arts. Contests are run with the help of industry, trade associations and labor organizations. Leadership contestants will demonstrate skills including extemporaneous speaking and conducting meetings by parliamentary procedure.
